How Drawcademy Works.

▸ Classes, supplies & logistics.

All classes have 3 basic parts.

▸ Here’s what to expect your first day.

Learn a new thing.

Every week, a new focus.

Practice the thing during class.

Immediately apply what you just learned.

Reflect & discuss what you learned.

The lesson of the week repeats until the end of the week.

▸ Missed classes may be made up within the same week, in-person or online (online is for age 9+).

▸ If not attended by the end of the week, the lesson cannot not be made up.

▸ Students who usually come to class later in the week, should preemptively attend earlier in the week if planning to miss; meaning, if your usual cohort is Saturday, try to come in on Tuesday or Wednesday before your usual lesson!

▸ Please text us if you will be absent, or attend a different cohort - 916.245.0470.

Growth & challenge is what we came here for.

Here’s a few final bonus tips, just for you <3

It’s okay to make bad drawings.

▸ Perfect drawings don’t exist, and the more you draw, the less you care about “mistakes;” quantity leads to quality.

Parents, please stay in the parent seating area during class.

Fostering confidence is important to us - please give space for your child & the other students to work independently.

There will be challenges - focus on learning & having fun!

▸ ‘Struggle’ is where all the good character building & learning happens anyways.

Thanks & see ya soon~!
